K&L Gates Advised Crea.re Group In The Acquisition Of Galleria Subalpina In Turin

K&L Gates advised Crea.re Group in the acquisition of Galleria Subalpina in Turin
K&L Gates has advised a pool of investors led by Crea.re Group S.r.l. in its acquisition of the historic Galleria Subalpina in Turin from the Opal fund, managed by Kryalos sgr and underwritten by Blackstone.
The Galleria Subalpina, a notable architectural landmark dating back to 1873, spans approximately 14,000 square meters between Piazza Castello and Piazza Carlo Alberto and includes 21 retail units. The acquisition marks a significant transaction in Italy’s commercial real estate market, underscoring the rising interest in high-profile, heritage-backed assets.
The K&L Gates team was led by Arturo Meglio (Partner, Corporate, Milan), with support from Gaia Bacchi (Associate) and Francesco Sanna (Partner, Real Estate). They were assisted by Elisa Tambè (Senior Associate), while Vittorio Salvadori di Wiesenhoff (Partner) provided tax advice.
Commenting on the deal, Arturo Meglio said, “We congratulate Crea.re Group on their successful acquisition of the Galleria. The demand for complex real estate-backed corporate transactions in Italy is on the rise, driven by sophisticated investors. We are well-equipped to support clients like Crea.re Group in seizing these opportunities by assembling teams that harness the combined experience of our Corporate, Real Estate, Town Planning, and Tax lawyers.”
