Taylor Wessing Advised Wild On Its Acquisition By Unilever

Taylor Wessing advised Wild on its acquisition by Unilever
Taylor Wessing advised Wild, the UK’s number one refillable natural deodorant brand, on its acquisition by Unilever, a global consumer products leader.
Launched in 2020 by co-founders Charlie Bowes-Lyon and Freddy Ward, Wild has transformed the personal care industry with its range of premium deodorants, lip balms, bodywashes, and handwashes, all made using plant-based ingredients and delivered in plastic-free packaging. The acquisition by Unilever marks a significant milestone in Wild’s journey, helping to accelerate its mission of eliminating single-use plastic in bathrooms worldwide.
The Taylor Wessing team was led by Ed Chapman (Partner) and Oli Denne (Senior Associate). The corporate team included Richard Price (Senior Associate), Nell Cooper (Associate), Dillan Madhani (Associate), and Savannah Swale (Paralegal). On tax matters, the team was supported by Liz Wilson (Partner) and Sally Robertson (Senior Associate). The incentives aspects were handled by Claire Matthews (Partner) and Katie Lewis (Senior Counsel). For intellectual property, Roland Mallinson (Partner) and Charlie Adams (Senior Associate) advised, while the competition law aspects were handled by Paolo Palmigiano (Partner) and Louisa Penny (Senior Counsel).
