The Global law firm, White & Case LLP advised Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena (MPS) on its successful voluntary public tender and exchange offer for the ordinary shares of Mediobanca.
MPS acquired approximately 86.3% of Mediobanca's share capital for a total consideration exceeding €16.5 billion in cash and shares. The transaction establishes a leading player in the Italian banking sector, offering a broad and diversified range of products and services to households, businesses, and local communities.
