Addleshaw Goddard acts as Polish counsel to advised PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna S.A.
Addleshaw Goddard acts as Polish counsel to advised PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna S.A. on the acquisition of the FEW Bałtyk II offshore wind farm project from the RWE group, as well as on the acquisition of environmental assets for the Baltica 9 project.
Baltica 9 sp. z o.o. (a PGE Group company) has committed to acquiring 100% of the shares in RWE Offshore Wind Poland sp. z o.o., which is developing the FEW Bałtyk II project with a capacity of approximately 350 MW. The FEW Bałtyk II project is adjacent to the Baltica 9 project and benefits from support in the form of a contract for difference, location permits, and a permit for laying and maintaining cables (PUUK). Simultaneously, Baltica 9 concluded an agreement to acquire environmental assets, including the Environmental Decision, necessary to participate in the auction for the right to cover the negative balance for electricity generated in the offshore wind farm and fed into the grid. As a result of winning the auction, the Baltica 9 offshore wind farm project with a capacity of 975 MW (area 44.E.1) will continue to be implemented.
