Charles Russell Speechlys Advised Longstanding Client Puma Growth Partners On Its Investment In Hubbox
Charles Russell Speechlys advised longstanding client Puma Growth Partners on its investment in HubBox
Charles Russell Speechlys has advised long-standing client Puma Growth Partners on its investment into Hub Box, the provider of out-of-home (OOH) delivery software for e-commerce retailers.
Founded in 2015 by Sam Jarvis (CEO), Claire Jarvis (Chief of Staff), Greg Beszant (VP of Sales EMEA), and Jon Pawley (CTO), HubBox was created to solve the growing frustration with failed home deliveries and rising customer demand for convenient alternatives. Today, HubBox’s software enables retailers to offer local pickup points at checkout – giving customers more flexibility, helping retailers meet delivery expectations and allowing couriers to consolidate volumes and improve margins by increasing parcels per stop.
This investment will support HubBox’s continued expansion across the UK, Europe and the US, further strengthening its strategic partnerships with major couriers and onboard new retailer clients.
Puma Growth Partners is a leading provider of growth capital to small and medium-sized businesses and offers expertise to best-in-class, ambitious businesses across the UK, irrespective of sector, and works in partnership with management to help businesses scale and create long-term value. It aims to deliver insight and a fresh perspective to the portfolio companies it partners with. Having invested in, and worked with, a breadth of companies in a range of sectors from consumer e-commerce to fleet transport safety and influencer marketing, Puma Growth Partners has deep insights and experience in scaling businesses for growth and where desired, successful sale and exit.
Charlotte Howe, Investment manager at Puma Growth Partners, Said,
“A huge thank you, as always, to Ashwin and the team at CRS for their exceptional guidance and expertise throughout this transaction. Their support was pivotal in enabling us to invest confidently in HubBox, a company that has built a scalable solution to one of e-commerce’s most persistent challenges.”
Ashwin Pillay, Corporate Partner, Said,
“We are delighted to have supported Puma on this transaction and to play a role in enabling their investment in HubBox. Advising on investments in innovative businesses like HubBox is at the heart of what we do and we are always proud to leverage our deep technology sector expertise to support our clients. This is the fifth new Puma investment we have advised on this year and it was a pleasure as always to support the Puma team.”
The Charles Russell Speechlys team was led by Corporate Ashwin Pillay (Partner), with support from David Coates (Partner), Ayman Shehata (Associate), Anna Schwarze (Associate), Michael Taylor (Associate), Caroline Young (Partner), Imogen Brown (Associate), Tilly Whittingham (Associate), Mike Powner (Partner), and Joanna Searle (Associate).
