Dentons Advised Nestr Smart Finance Launch New Loan Platform for Commercial Real Estate
Dentons, the global law firm, provided advisory services to Nestr Smart Finance in the development of a new loan platform for commercial real estate financing aimed at parties involved in owning or intending to acquire leased commercial real estate. Dentons assisted Nestr in negotiating transaction documents with a London-based financial institution and other stakeholders to facilitate the platform's successful launch.
Nestr is a real estate financing company that has been active in the Dutch market since 2019. The company specialises in providing real estate financing to professional investors looking to invest in rented properties. Nestr is known for its fast and innovative approach, integrating modern technology and automation into the application process.
Dentons has been advising Nestr since its inception, including on the launch of its €3 billion platform for buy-to-let mortgages in 2019.
The cross-border Dentons team was led by partner Marcel Janssen in Amsterdam and included partner Peter Voisey and counsel Edwin Bellamy from the Debt Capital Markets team in London, senior associate Shivaughn Tets and associate Frits Miedema from the Banking and Finance team in Amsterdam.
