DLA Piper advises Shell on the acquisition of a 2GW PV portfolio in Spain
DLA Piper, the London-based international law firm, has advised Shell New Energies Holding Europe B.V. on the acquisition of a platform of 10 solar photovoltaic projects in Spain from Green Tie Capital to generate approx. 2 GW of power.
The DLA Piper team that advised on the transaction was led by José MarÃa Gil-Robles, Head and partner of Corporate M&A, together with Marta VizcaÃno, Of counsel, Héctor Gómez, senior associate, and Ana Izquierdo, associate in Corporate respectively. Carlos Daza, a senior associate, advised on the Regulatory aspects of the transaction.
"We are very satisfied with the outcome. The transaction has been very complex as it took place at different stages of development for the projects, and involved several practice areas.
