Eversheds Sutherland Advised on Merger of AI Cloud Operator Ori Industries with Brookfield-Owned Radiant
Eversheds Sutherland has advised the shareholders of Ori Industries – including the founder and a diverse group of growth investors (led by Mahdi Yahya and Episode 1 Ventures) - on its merger with Brookfield-backed Radiant.
Radiant is the newly created AI infrastructure investment platform of Brookfield, a leading global alternative asset manager, with over $1 trillion of assets under management across infrastructure, renewable power and transition, private equity, real estate, and credit.
Founded in the UK in 2018, Ori is a “neocloud” AI cloud operator, serving global technology leaders across the AI ecosystem.
The deal was structured as an all-equity combination with Brookfield and Ori’s shareholders.
In November 2025, Brookfield launched a dedicated AI Infrastructure Fund with an ambition to deploy as much as US$100bn in the AI infrastructure space, providing a powerful strategic home for Ori’s next phase of growth.
The multi-disciplinary Eversheds Sutherland team was led by Alex McCarney (Partner/ Private Capital) and comprised a core team including: Jon Gill (Partner), James Lindop (Partner), Chris Williamson (Partner), Richard Surtees (Partner), Mark Herlach (Partner), Catherine Jones (Principle Associate), Amy Bagni (Senior Associate), Nicholas Hilman (Senior Associate) and Julia Gawecka (Associate), Ross Boddy (Associate), Talia Sahin (Associate) and Brittany Dodds (Associate).
