Eversheds Sutherland has Advised Savola Group on its Strategic Partnership with Tiryaki Agro Covering Türkiye and Regional Markets
Eversheds Sutherland has Advised Savola Group on its Strategic Partnership with Tiryaki Agro Covering Türkiye and Regional Markets
Eversheds Sutherland advised Savola Group on its strategic partnership with Tiryaki Agro covering Türkiye and regional markets. Under the transaction, Tiryaki Anadolu, a subsidiary of Tiryaki Agro, acquired 100% of Savola Foods Türkiye, while Savola’s subsidiary, Afia International Company, acquired a strategic minority stake in the consolidated structure of Tiryaki Anadolu. The partnership aligns with Savola’s long-term growth strategy, supporting its market presence in Türkiye and broader regional ambitions. Through this collaboration, Tiryaki has added Türkiye’s renowned edible oil brands, primarily Yudum, to its portfolio, strengthening its market position in the category."
Commenting on the transaction, Zeid Hanania (Regional Head/ M&A) said:
“We are proud to have supported Savola Group on this important strategic step. Our long standing relationship with Savola has enabled us to work closely with their teams to deliver a transaction that is fully aligned with their vision for sustainable growth in Türkiye and across the wider region. This transaction also reflects our ability to deliver for clients on their most strategically important mandates, navigating complexity to help them achieve their long-term objectives.”
The partnership is expected to enhance supply chain integration, strengthen operational efficiency, and support the continued development of Savola’s well-established brands within a broader regional structure.
The transaction was led by Zeid Hanania (Partner), supported by a cross border, multidisciplinary team including Steve Jennings (Partner), Rima Mahmoud (Principle Associate) and Hanan Al Bashir (Associate) and Faisal Al Shaikh (Associate). The Eversheds Sutherland team worked closely with Hergüner Bilgen Üçer Avukatlık Ortaklığı who provided Turkish law advice to Savola Group on the transaction.
