Freshfields Advised CNGR Advanced Material On Its US$456m Listing On HKSE
Freshfields Advised CNGR Advanced Material On Its US$456m Listing On HKSE
Global law firm Freshfields has advised CNGR Advanced Material Co., Ltd. (CNGR) on the Hong Kong and US law aspects of its US$456m H share listing on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. This is the 12th Hong Kong listing completed by our Asia Equity Capital Markets team this year.
CNGR is a new energy materials company listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange and primarily engaged in the research and development, production and sales of new energy battery materials and new energy metal products. They are the global leader of nickel-based and cobalt-based cathode active material precursors for lithium-ion batteries, ranking the first by shipment volume for five consecutive years since 2020. Their new energy battery materials are essential to lithium-ion batteries that are widely used in EV, ESS, consumer electronics, as well as applications with higher power demands and therefore strong commercial potentials, such as AI-enabled consumer electronic devices, humanoid robotics and low-altitude aerial vehicles.
The Freshfields team was led by Head of China ECM and Richard Wang (Partner), Howie Farn (Partner). They were supported by Chris Fu (Counsel), Candice Ma (Senior Associate), Steven Pi (Associate), Jiannan Kang (Associate), and John Shi (Legal Consultants), and Yueyi Wang (Legal Consultants).
