Freshfields Advised TUI On Sustainability-Linked €1.89bn Revolving Credit Facilities
These are provided by an international banking syndicate tenor for five years
International law firm Freshfields has advised TUI AG on sustainability-linked revolving €1.89 billion credit facilities.
The costs are linked to the realization of key performance indicators (KPIs) on emission reductions. It is in line with TUI Group’s Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi)-approved targets.
The Freshfields team was led by Partner Frank Laudenklos and supported by Principal Associate Dennis Chinnow and Associate Alexander Bräuer (Finance, Frankfurt).
It included Partner Martin Schiessl, Principal Associate Christian Schmidt and Associate Daniel Renner (Tax, Frankfurt), Partner Deborah Janssens, Counsel Wouter Van Der Veken and Associate Emma Tielemans (Finance, Brussels), Head of English Law Finance Anouschka Zagorski (Frankfurt) and Trainees Megan McDonnell (Vienna) and Georgina Baker (English Law Finance, London).
The TUI AG in-house team was led by Marcus Beger (Director Group Corporate Law), Mark Hoepfner (Senior Legal Counsel) and Dr Sabine Lieberam-Schmidt (Senior Legal Counsel).
