Goodwin Advised AI Proteins on $41.5 Million Series A Financing
The Goodwin team advised AI Proteins on its $41.5 million Series A financing, which will support the company’s development of a new class of de novo miniprotein therapeutics. The round was led by Mission BioCapital and Santé Ventures, with participation from existing investors, including Lightchain Capital and Cobro Ventures. AI Proteins is leveraging its AI-enabled discovery platform to create purpose-built, modular miniproteins designed entirely from first principles, enabling precise control over function and pharmacology across a broad range of therapeutic applications.
The company has also adopted a hub-and-spoke business model to protect and expand its core platform and drive long-term innovation. This new model will allow the company to spin out individual programs and focus investors and partners on maximizing discovery and value from each new asset.
Boston-based AI Proteins is a biotech company on a mission to re-imagine protein therapeutics with a novel approach for designing entirely new proteins.
