Goodwin has advised APELOS Therapie (“APELOS”), a portfolio company of GENUI (“GENUI”), on the financing of the acquisition of more than 50 physiotherapy, ergotherapy, logopaedics, osteopathy, and sports therapy practices.
APELOS, headquartered in Leipzig, Germany, comprises more than 30 practices across five clusters in Germany with regional clusters in and around Munich, Niederrhein, Hanover/Brunswig, and Frankfurt am Main as well as Leipzig, and employs c. 520 people. APELOS’ business model offers existing practice owners a succession solution and is highly scalable, providing a unique platform for growth going forward. The established network of practices that are located in densely populated German areas allows for high-quality therapy services through the sharing of best practices.
