Herbert Smith Freehills Advised Lupin Healthcare In Acquisition Of Renascience Pharma
The firm will focus on growing the portfolio of brands in alignment with NHS priorities
Global law firm Herbert Smith Freehills has advised Lupin Healthcare Limited, the UK subsidiary of Lupin Limited, to acquire Renascience Pharma Limited, a reputable licensee and sole supplier of four niche-branded generics products.
Lupin is a global, multinational pharmaceutical company headquartered in Mumbai, India.
It develops and commercializes a range of branded and generic formulations, biotechnology products and APIs in over 100 markets, including India, the US, South Africa, Asia Pacific, Latin America, the Middle East, and Europe.
Speaking on the development, Alan Montgomery, Partner and Co-Head Pharmaceuticals, Co-Head of India Practice at Herbert Smith Freehills, said, "We are immensely proud to have advised long-standing client Lupin on yet another successful transaction and one which enhances the firm's branded medicine portfolio, catering to unmet medical needs."
The Herbert Smith Freehills team was led by corporate partner Alan Montgomery and senior associate Faria Ali, and supported by associates Arina Abgaryan and Toby Goodman.
