Herbert Smith Freehills Advised Yokoy On Acquisition By Travelperk
Herbert Smith Freehills has advised Swiss AI platform provider Yokoy on its successful acquisition by TravelPerk, a leading global travel management platform.
The acquisition of Yokoy, and its integration into an open ecosystem of strategic partners in spend management, will enable TravelPerk to offer highly customized T&E solutions to its customers in Europe and the USA. Both companies have been collaborating since 2020.
Yokoy, established in Switzerland in 2019, provides an innovative, AI-driven, end-to-end solution for spend management in medium-sized and large enterprises. A market leader in Europe, Yokoy is backed by renowned investors such as Sequoia Capital, Left Lane Capital, Balderton Capital, Speedinvest, Visionaries Club, SIX Ventures Fund, and Swisscom Ventures. With approximately 250 employees across six global offices, Yokoy serves over 700 customers worldwide.
Founded in Barcelona in 2015, TravelPerk is a fast-growing SaaS platform for business travel. Following its USD 200 million Series E financing round, the company is valued at USD 2.7 billion. With more than 1,200 employees across eight locations in Europe and the USA, TravelPerk supports over 6,000 customers globally—including Red Bull, GetYourGuide, and Aesop—in optimizing their business travel experience.
