HEUKING Advised VR Equitypartner On Sale Of Majority Stake In Evolit Consulting GmbH
HEUKING advised VR Equitypartner on sale of majority stake in Evolit Consulting GmbH
The large, independent German law firm, HEUKING advised VR Equitypartner (VREP) on legal and tax matters in the sale of software developer Evolit Consulting GmbH to Berlin-based FLEX Capital. VREP has supported the company’s establishment and expansion as majority shareholder since 2019, also advised by Dr. Rainer Herschlein and Benedikt Raisch.
Evolit Consulting GmbH is an Austrian IT company focused on customized software solutions for mobility and infrastructure. Founded in Vienna in 2011, Evolit provides end-to-end services from consulting to operations, employs over 180 people, and has successfully delivered numerous projects.
VR Equitypartner is a leading equity financier in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, supporting mid-sized, often family-owned businesses with decades of experience in complex financing solutions. VREP offers majority and minority investments as well as mezzanine financing, with a portfolio currently comprising around 40 investments totaling approximately EUR 400 million.
FLEX Capital is a private equity investor specializing in mid-sized software companies in the Germany/Austria/Switzerland region.
The HEUKING team advising VREP was led by Dr. Rainer Herschlein (Partner) and Benedikt Raisch (Salaried Partner). The team regularly advises VR Equitypartner GmbH on transactions and related matters.
HEUKING (Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek) is one of the largest independent commercial law firms in Germany, not a global one. The firm consciously chose to remain independent to guarantee its own autonomy and that of its clients, rather than merging into a large, globally integrated entity.
