Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP Advised DTE Energy Company on $1.5B ATM Program
Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP advised DTE Energy Company (“DTE Energy”) in connection with the establishment of its inaugural at-the-market (“ATM”) program to sell shares of DTE Energy’s common stock having an aggregate gross sales price of up to $1.5 billion from time to time through either the managers or the forward sellers, who will, at DTE Energy’s request, borrow shares of DTE Energy’s common stock from third parties.
DTE Energy is a Michigan corporation engaged in utility operations through its wholly owned subsidiaries, DTE Electric Company (DTE Electric) and DTE Gas Company (DTE Gas). DTE Electric is a Michigan public utility engaged in the generation, purchase, distribution, and sale of electricity to approximately 2.3 million customers in southeastern Michigan. DTE Gas is a Michigan public utility engaged in the purchase, storage, transportation, distribution, and sale of natural gas to approximately 1.3 million customers throughout Michigan and the sale of storage and transportation capacity. DTE Energy also has non-utility operations that are engaged in a variety of energy related businesses.
