K&L Gates Advised On AU$90.7 Million A-Grade Office Acquisition
K&L Gates Advised on AU$90.7 Million A-Grade Office Acquisition
Global law firm K&L Gates advised Singapore-based investment group Soilbuild on its AU$90.7 million acquisition of a 25% freehold interest in Coca-Cola Place, located at 40 Mount Street, North Sydney. The stake was purchased from M&G Real Estate, with investment and asset manager Realmont Property Partners assisting Soilbuild. The remaining 75% interest in the building is co-owned by Investa’s commercial property fund, ICPF.
Coca-Cola Place comprises a prominent 28,340-square-metre modern A-grade office tower with expansive Sydney CBD and harbour views. The building is located close to the key public transport hubs of Victoria Cross metro station and North Sydney train station and comprises world-leading sustainability attributes, including a 6.0 star Green Star design rating, a 5.5 star NABERS energy rating, and a 4.5 star NABERS water rating.
Brown said, “We are proud to have supported Soilbuild and Realmont in securing the strategic stake in one of North Sydney’s landmark assets – Coca-Cola Place is a world-class property with exceptional sustainability credentials. This investment reflects the confidence in long-term growth opportunities in Australia’s commercial real estate sector and underscores the resilience and attractiveness of Sydney’s premium office market. We look forward to seeing similar investment activity throughout 2026.”
Realmont Said, “This investment aligns with Soilbuild's strategy to expand its footprint in high-quality, sustainable office properties, and we appreciated working with the K&L Gates team to complete this transaction.”
The K&L Gates deal team was led by Sydney Real Estate Samuel Brown (Partner), with support from Reilly King (Lawyer), Christina Tohme (Lawyer), and Prudence Birchall (Lawyer). Additional assistance was provided by Finance Harsharan Gill (Partner), and Nam Nguye (Lawyer), Matthew Cridland (Tax Partner), and Alyse McDermott (Lawyer), and Competition Law Ayman Guirguis (Partner), and Jenna Yim (Lawyer).
