Linklaters Advised AXA IM Prime On Its Acquisition Of A Minority Stake In Monroe Capital LLC Alongside Wendel’s Controlling Stake
Linklaters advised AXA IM Prime, through its GP Stake strategy, on its acquisition of a minority stake in Monroe Capital LLC alongside Wendel’s controlling stake.
Monroe Capital LLC is a prominent private credit market player focused on the U.S. middle market by leveraging the complementary resources and expertise of AXA IM Prime.
The investment will further strengthen an already strong and long-lasting relationship between AXA IM Prime and Monroe Capital LLC.
This new AXA IM Prime GP Stake investment follows its recent acquisitions of minority stakes in Rivage Investment, a leading investment firm specializing in European infrastructure direct lending and French public sector financing, and Latour Capital, an investment firm specializing in European mid-cap private equity, on which Linklaters was also involved.
Linklaters team was led from Paris by Mehdi Boumedine, (Partner) and included Virgile Morel (Managing Associate), Ruiwen Chen (Associate) in Corporate/M&A, Cyril Boussion (Partner) and Jules Andreau (Associate) in Tax.
The New York office of Linklaters was also involved with Pierre-Emmanuel Perais (Partner), Fraser Goodlad (Associate), Titus Kabega (Associate) in Corporate/M&A, Max Levine (Partner), Vasudha Anil Kumar (Counsel, Tax) and Mike Dankis (Counsel) in Investment Funds).
