Matouk Bassiouny & Hennawy advised Jackson Square Aviation on its first commercial aircraft lease in Egypt
The leading full-service MENA (Middle East and North Africa) law firm, Matouk Bassiouny & Hennawy (MBH), acted as legal advisor to Jackson Square Aviation (Ireland) Limited (“JSA”), a global leader in aircraft leasing, in connection with its first-ever commercial aircraft lease transaction in Egypt to flyplus (formerly Nesma Airlines).
MBH advised JSA on the delivery of an Airbus A321-200 aircraft (MSN 5922) to flyplus. The aircraft strengthens the airline’s narrowbody fleet, providing increased capacity and operational efficiency for regional and international routes, supporting Egypt’s growing tourism and travel sector.
The Matouk Bassiouny & Hennawy transaction was led by Sherif El Hosseny (Partner, Head of Aviation), with support from Malak El Amiry (Associate). This marks a significant milestone as the inaugural entry of JSA’s leasing portfolio into the Egyptian market, expanding its footprint across the Middle East and North Africa region.
