Reed Smith Advised Advanced Cooling Technologies on Sale of Majority Stake to Blackstone Energy Transition Partners
Global law firm Reed Smith represented Advanced Cooling Technologies, Inc. (ACT), a Thermal Management and Heat-Transfer Solutions Company, in the Sale of a Majority Stake to Funds Managed by Blackstone Energy Transition Partners.
ACT designs and manufactures thermal management and energy efficiency systems for data centers, space, defense, energy, electronics, HVAC, and enclosure cooling applications, including two-phase liquid cooling, heat pipes, cold plates and environmental control units.
The transaction positions ACT for expanded manufacturing capacity as thermal management requirements grow with increasing power density in data centers and high-performance computing.
Reed Smith provided support on transaction execution and multi-jurisdictional regulatory approvals in the United States and abroad.
The Reed Smith deal team was led by Jonathan Moyer (Partner), Sue Nieto (Partner), Kristen Capriotti (Partner) and Ron Scharnberg (Partner) and included Allison Sizemore (Partner), Michelle Mantine (Partner), Mark Goldstein (Partner), Alaina Billingham (Associate), Erin Kranick (Associate), Megan Finelli (Associate), Ana Matovic (Associate), Batool Banker (Associate), Leah Hungerman (Associate), Nicole Kaplan (Associate), and Jessica Henschel (Associate).
