Reed Smith Advised Global Data PLC on Move to the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange
Global law firm Reed Smith is pleased to have acted for long-standing AIM-listed client GlobalData Plc on its admission to the Official List of the Financial Conduct Authority and to trading on the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange.
On admission to the Main Market, GlobalData’s market capitalisation was approximately £600 million ($807 million). The company is expected to enter the FTSE 250 when the index is next updated in June.
Reed Smith has advised GlobalData since 2018 and has supported the company across a number of strategic transactions as part of its growth strategy. This includes advised on multiple acquisitions as well as capital markets matters, including last year’s competing offers from KKR and ICG.
The move to the Main Market represents the culmination of 18 months of work by the Reed Smith team, who were delighted to join GlobalData and its advised in opening the market at the London Stock Exchange on March 5 to mark the milestone.
The Reed Smith team was led by Philip Taylor (Partner), with support from Delphine Currie (Consultant), Sam Myers (Partner), Kat McGriskin (Associate), and Georgia Crossman (corporate).
The team also included Caspar Fox (Partner) and Alia Khalil (Tax) and David Ashmore (Partner) and Jonathan Lord (Employment).
