Sidley Advised Lux Capital on New VC Fund Lux IX
Sidley represented Lux Capital in connection with the closing of its new and significantly oversubscribed venture capital fund, Lux Ventures IX (Lux IX), which raised more than US$1.5 billion in committed capital. The final closing was announced in January 2026.
Lux IX is Lux Capital’s largest fund to date and will focus on investments at the intersection of science, technology, and national security, including areas such as artificial intelligence, advanced manufacturing, energy, biotechnology, and defense-related technologies. According to Lux Capital, the fund reflects continued strong investor demand for early and growth-stage companies advancing foundational scientific and technological innovation. Lux now has total assets under management of over US$7 billion.
