Taylor Wessing Advised PKO Bank Polski on yet another project supporting the development of renewable energy in Poland
Taylor Wessing represented PKO Bank Polski in connection with the execution of a bilateral investment loan agreement with WINDPOWER GAMÓW Sp. z o.o., a company from the TAURON Group, for the amount of PLN 210 million, granted to refinance expenditures incurred for the construction of an onshore wind farm located in the Silesian Voivodeship.
PKO Bank Polski is the largest universal bank in Poland and a leader in the Polish banking sector, offering a full range of financial services to individual customers, companies and institutions, both in traditional branches and through modern mobile applications (iKO and iPKO). The bank operates as a joint-stock company listed on the Stock Exchange, but the State Treasury remains its main shareholder.
The TAURON Group is one of the largest integrated energy entities in Poland, comprising companies responsible for the production, distribution and sale of electricity and heat.
WINDPOWER GAMÓW is the second project between PKO Bank Polski and the TAURON Group in which Taylor Wessing has had the honour to assist.
The Taylor Wessing team comprised Antoni Goraj (Counsel), leading the transactional works, Jan Adamus (Counsel), Maria Gałęzowska (Associate), Hubert Witkowski (Associate), with Zbigniew Korba (Partner) providing strategic oversight in the project.
