Taylor Wessing advised Regent on its Acquisition of ContiTech’s Business Unit Original Equipment Solutions (OESL)
Taylor Wessing advised Regent on its acquisition of ContiTech’s business unit Original Equipment Solutions (“OESL Business Unit”). The transaction was completed on 2 February 2026. The sale is part of the ContiTech group sector’s strategy to focus on industrial customers. With this step, Continental continues the course outlined at its Capital Market Day in June 2025.
OESL employs more than 16,000 people world-wide and generated sales of around EUR 1.9 billion in the fiscal year 2024. The business area develops and produces hose lines and bearing elements for combustion engines and electric vehicles.
Dr. Oliver Bertram (Partner), Taylor Wessing´s Managing Partner in Germany and Global Co-Chair comments: “Our highly efficient M&A practice increasingly stands for large international M&A deals, especially in our focus sectors such as automotive. I congratulate the whole team on this outstanding success!”
Regent was advised by a Taylor Wessing team headed by Sven Schweneke (Partner) and co-headed by Dr. Hendrik Boss (Partner) and Dr. Elisabeth Schalk (Partner).
