Taylor Wessing Advised Sylndr On Its US$15.7 Million Series A Funding Round

Taylor Wessing Advised Sylndr On Its US$15.7 Million Series A Funding Round
Taylor Wessing advised Sylndr on its successful US$15.7 million Series A funding round. The round was led by DPI Venture Capital, one of Africa’s foremost investment institutions, with additional participation from Egyptian Gulf Holding, Algebra Ventures, and Nuwa Capital.
Sylndr is a leading automotive-focused e-commerce marketplace headquartered in Egypt. This transaction marks a significant milestone in Sylndr’s growth as the company moves towards its mission to become the region’s most trusted platform for buying and selling pre-owned vehicles. The funding will support Sylndr’s operational scale-up, market expansion, and continued investment in digital infrastructure.
Commenting on the deal, Abdullah Mutawi said: “We are pleased to have advised the Sylndr team on this important transaction. The successful close of their Series A round, with the backing of such a well-regarded group of investors, reflects the strength of their business model and the market opportunity they are pursuing. It also signals growing regional investor appetite for scalable, tech-enabled platforms. We look forward to seeing Sylndr build on this momentum as they expand their operations.”
The Taylor Wessing team was led by Abdullah Mutawi (Partner and Head of Corporate, Middle East) and Samy Elsheikh (Senior Associate), both based in the firm’s Dubai office. The team brings extensive experience in venture capital, cross-border investments, and technology law across the MENA region.
