The prominent and historic Egyptian law firm, Zaki Hashem, Attorneys at Law advised Alstom Egypt for Transport Projects on the successful completion of a cash capital increase amounting to EGP 1,148,521,600, following receipt of all necessary approvals from the Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA) and the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI).
The transaction marks a significant corporate and regulatory milestone for Alstom Egypt for Transport Projects, a leading multinational company with a long-established presence in Egypt and a strong track record in delivering large-scale transportation and infrastructure projects, including rail, metro, and integrated mobility solutions of national strategic importance. The capital increase underscores Alstom Egypt’s continued investment in and long-term commitment to the Egyptian market.
The process involved extensive regulatory coordination and careful structuring to ensure full compliance with the corporate and regulatory frameworks governing capital increases in Egypt, reflecting the scale and complexity of the transaction.
The Zaki Hashem team advised on the structuring and implementation of the capital increase, coordinated with relevant regulatory authorities to secure required approvals, and managed the drafting and execution of all necessary corporate and regulatory documentation.
