Zaki Hashem & Partners advised Corporate Leasing Company Egypt (CORPLEASE) On The First Issuance Of A Corporate Bond Program Valued At EGP 2 Billion
Zaki Hashem & Partners advised Corporate Leasing Company Egypt (CORPLEASE) on the first issuance of a corporate bond program valued at EGP 2 billion
The prominent and well-established Egyptian law firm, Zaki Hashem & Partners (Zaki Hashem, Attorneys at Law) has advised Corporate Leasing Company Egypt S.A.E. (CORPLEASE) on the successful completion of the first issuance of its Corporate Bond Issuance Program valued at EGP 2,000,000,000 (Two Billion Egyptian Pounds) with a 12-month tenor, which received an investment-grade “P2” rating from the Middle East Rating and Investor Services (MERIS).
This landmark transaction falls under CORPLEASE’s First Multiple-Issuances Program of Short-Term Notes, amounting to EGP 5,000,000,000 and USD 100,000,000 in total, to be issued over two years. The transaction represents one of the largest and most sophisticated non-sovereign bond issuances in Egypt’s market history.
The issuance was fully covered by a diverse group of non-bank institutional investors, underscoring strong market confidence in CORPLEASE’s position within Egypt’s capital market landscape.
The firm congratulated its valued client CORPLEASE on this milestone and extended appreciation to CI Capital Holding for its instrumental role as sole lead arranger, financial advisor, and issuance manager in the transaction’s execution.
The Zaki Hashem & Partners team was led by Helal El Hossary (Partner and Head of Capital Markets & Corporate Procedures), with support from Mohamed Saeed (Senior Associate), Omar Fouda (Senior Associate), Farida Fayez (Associate), and Ahmed Adel Ammar (Associate). The team conducted extensive due diligence, coordinated with relevant authorities to secure approvals, and managed the drafting and documentation processes that brought this transaction to successful completion.
Zaki Hashem & Partners (ZH&P) is one of Egypt's oldest and most respected full-service law firms. The firm combines deep local market expertise and strong government connections with an international standard of service, offering a unique 'safe pair of hands' for complex, high-profile work in a challenging jurisdiction.
