European Commission Advises Apple To Conform To Rules

The antitrust regulator will illustrate Digital Markets Act norms

The European Commission has launched proceedings to ensure that Apple complies with the rules, mandating that it open its ecosystem to rivals.

It will simplify how the technology company should abide by the Digital Markets Act.

The EU antitrust regulators held, "The first proceeding focuses on iOS connectivity features and functionalities, predominantly used for and by connected devices. The second focuses on the process Apple set up to address inter-operability requests submitted by developers and third parties for iOS and iPadOS.”
