Al Tamimi & Company Appoints Graham de Guise as Chief People Officer
The largest law firm in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, Al Tamimi & Company has appointed Graham de Guise as its new Chief People Officer, reinforcing the firm’s strategic focus on leadership, talent development, and organisational culture across its 17 offices in ten countries.
De Guise joins from Osborne Clarke, where he served as Chief People Officer and was a member of both the firm’s international board and UK executive board. He brings nearly three decades of senior human resources experience across leading professional services organisations, including Fieldfisher, TLT LLP, Danka UK plc (now part of Ricoh), and EY.
In his new role, he will oversee the firm’s people and culture strategy, focusing on leadership development, partner and talent progression, performance frameworks, reward strategy, and organisational effectiveness. He succeeds Marianne Johnson, who spent just under two years in the role.

Professional Background
During his tenure at Osborne Clarke, de Guise led the development and delivery of HR strategy for the €520 million international law firm. He oversaw a 65-member multi-site HR team, introduced the firm’s first Reward Strategy and Wellbeing Strategy, implemented race and gender action plans, developed an Employee Value Proposition, and designed partner development and learning frameworks. He also chaired the UK Partner Remuneration Committee.Previously, as Human Resources Director at Fieldfisher, he was a member of the executive board and led HR strategy across multiple European offices, overseeing post-merger integrations, partner remuneration reforms, and the introduction of formal talent management systems. At TLT LLP, he directed HR operations and was instrumental in initiatives that led the firm to win “HR Team of the Year” and “Talent Management Initiative of the Year” at The Lawyer Awards. His earlier career includes board-level HR leadership at Danka UK plc and senior talent management roles at EY.
