Align Technology Promotes Shatha Bakhsh To Director, Managing Counsel For Middle East, Turkey, And Africa
Align Technology, a global medical device company, has announced the promotion of Shatha Bakhsh to Director, Managing Counsel for the Middle East, Turkey, and Africa (META) region. Bakhsh will become a Key Member of the company's Europe, Middle East, and Africa leadership team.
In her expanded role, Bakhsh will oversee all Legal and Risk Management affairs across the META region. This involves a wide range of responsibilities, including contributing to the development of the regional business strategy, drafting and negotiating contracts, and overseeing legal entity set-up and corporate governance. Additionally, she will provide guidance on regulatory developments and handle legal matters related to advertising and social media compliance.
Bakhsh's responsibilities extend to managing product registrations, overseeing the implementation of new applications and technologies, and protecting Align Technology's intellectual property. She will also ensure data privacy compliance and maintain adherence to all relevant regulations while liaising with local authorities.
Bakhsh brings a wealth of experience to this leadership position. She joined Align Technology in 2018 as a senior counsel for the META region and quickly rose through the ranks. Her strong performance led to her promotion to senior lead counsel for the Middle East in 2022. Prior to joining Align, Bakhsh spent seven years at Siemens, where she held various high-level legal positions, including Key Account Lawyer for the Digital Factory and Process Industries & Drives Divisions.
