The leading Japanese law firm, Anderson Mori & Tomotsune, has announced the promotion of Kenjiro Yamaguchi, Yuto Tamura, and Hiroshi Ogura to Partner, recognising their leadership across international corporate, finance, and M&A matters. Kenjiro Yamaguchi advises clients on international corporate matters, with a particular focus on cross-border M&A and business reorganizations across fast-moving jurisdictions in Asia and beyond. From China and Vietnam to Thailand and Singapore—and further into markets such as South Africa, Morocco, and Egypt—he is known for bringing clarity to complex, multi-jurisdiction transactions. Kenjiro’s international experience includes work in Beijing, Ho Chi Minh City, and Bangkok, as well as supporting overseas investment projects at Mitsui & Co., Ltd.. He has also contributed to leading publications on regional deal-making and business law, including M&A legislation in emerging Asian countries and major Chinese business laws.
Yuto Tamura advises clients at the intersection of Finance, Financial Institutions, and Real Estate, supporting sophisticated transactions underpinning major projects and investments. His work spans project finance, structured finance, PPP/PFI/concession arrangements, real estate finance, REITs, and asset finance—helping clients align capital, assets, and long-term cashflows. Yuto brings sector expertise in Energy, Natural Resources, and Real Estate, complemented by an LL.M. from UCLA School of Law and prior experience at Carlsmith Ball LLP (Honolulu), alongside his qualification in Japan.
Hiroshi Ogura focuses on M&A and general corporate matters, with deep expertise in cross-border transactions, public M&A, and private equity fund deals. His practice includes unsolicited offers, carve-outs, joint ventures, venture capital, and investments, guiding clients through complex transactions with speed and discipline. Hiroshi also advises boards and management teams on governance matters, including shareholder meetings and activism, bringing practical guidance when stakeholder alignment is critical. His international credentials include an LL.M. from New York University School of Law and qualifications in Japan and New York.
