A&O Shearman Elevates Richard Chamberlain and Mike Campbell to partnership in Dubai
Both serve in the energy, natural resources and infrastructure sectors
Multinational law firm A&O Shearman has announced the partnership of Richard Chamberlain and Mike Campbell in Dubai.
The promotions, effective 1 May, are among 33 new partners across 11 practice areas in 16 offices in 11 countries.
Richard Chamberlain is a project development and construction lawyer with over a decade of experience in the Middle East. He advises governments, developers, lenders, and contractors on their large-scale project development.
Focusing on energy, digital and traditional infrastructure, he is also adept at public-private partnerships and project financings across sectors, including power, utilities, social infrastructure, data centres, transport, oil and gas and petrochemicals.
Mike Campbell is a senior projects, energy, and infrastructure lawyer based in Dubai. In 2017, he relocated from the firm’s London office.
An expert in project and infrastructure financings and refinancings, he has advised clients across the EMEA region. They include, sponsors, lenders, and procurers on varied assets within the energy, infrastructure, and industrial fields.
Campbell’s sectorial expertise spans the oil and gas, petrochemicals, energy transition, power and renewables. He focus on social, transport and digital infrastructure, natural resources, and industrial projects.
Active in the legal tech world, he led a team that developed an artificial intelligence-assisted Covid-19 contract review platform.
