ASAFO & Co. Promotes Benoit Diouf To Partner In Abidjan Office
ASAFO & Co. Promotes Benoit Diouf to Partner in Abidjan Office
The international law firm primarily dedicated to Africa-related legal matters, ASAFO & Co., has promoted Benoit Diouf to Partner in its Abidjan office.
Since joining ASAFO & Co. in 2021, Benoit has built a strong reputation for his expertise in the legal and regulatory structuring of capital markets transactions, particularly securitisations. He advises local and international financial institutions on complex, transformative matters contributing to the continued development and sophistication of capital markets across the WAEMU region.
Benoit’s appointment reflects ASAFO & Co.’s strategic focus on strengthening capabilities in structured finance and capital markets, and more broadly on supporting financial and development institutions throughout sub-Saharan Africa.
Benoit shared his thoughts on this milestone,
"Many of you have sent me your congratulations and encouragement. I take this moment to express my deep gratitude to everyone. This stage goes beyond individual progression; it is part of a collective dynamic driven by the management and teams of ASAFO & Co., whose high standards and technical depth make it possible to structure and document ambitious and high value-added operations in a rapidly changing financial environment.
It also reflects the long-term trust of our partners and clients, who entrust us with the design and securing of complex transactions, often structuring for the capital markets of our region.
The developments underway within the West African Economic and Monetary Union reinforce a conviction: the quality of legal and financial architectures will be decisive in sustainably supporting growth and innovation.
This new stage commits me to continue this work with rigour, ambition, and a sense of responsibility. Let's continue to build solid structures, designed to last and pass on. Thank you for your support."
Education
Benoit holds a DU in Droit des Entreprises en Difficulté from University of Paris I: Panthéon-Sorbonne, a DEA (Master II) in Droit Economique et des Affaires / Business Law from Université d'Orléans, and completed the CAPACAPA program at the Centre Régional de Formation Professionnelle des Avocats – Versailles. He also earned a Master in Capital Markets from OMNES Education, a DESS in Business Law Contract from Université Marie et Louis Pasteur, and attended the Institut d’Etudes Judiciaires at Paris-Sud University (Paris XI).
Benoit’s promotion underscores ASAFO & Co.’s commitment to delivering high-quality legal services and strengthening its leadership in capital markets across the WAEMU region.
Asafo & Co. is a specialized international law firm primarily dedicated to Africa-related legal matters. Unlike traditional global firms with a general focus, Asafo & Co. positions itself as an "integrated" offering that combines international standards with deep local expertise across the African continent.
