Baker McKenzie Expands Fintech Team with Todd Beauchamp, Charles Weinstein, and Lawrence Lee
Baker McKenzie has announced the addition of Todd Beauchamp and Charles Weinstein, leading fintech and payments lawyers, to its Washington, DC office. Both lawyers bring deep expertise in regulatory, commercial, and transactional matters across the fintech and payments sectors, significantly enhancing the Firm’s capabilities in this evolving domain.
Todd Beauchamp will serve as Chair of the Firm’s Fintech & Payments Practice in North America. Both Todd and Charles are well-versed in key areas such as money transmission, virtual currencies and other digital assets, electronic payments, credit, and stored value. They regularly advise clients on product development, commercial relationships, federal and state regulatory matters, and representation before banking agencies.
Further, the Firm has named Lawrence Lee as Chair of the North America Fintech M&A Practice. Lawrence, formerly head of in-house M&A at Coinbase, is regarded as one of Silicon Valley’s top technology and fintech M&A lawyers. His transactional experience includes landmark M&A, private equity sales, venture investments, and more for clients such as Adobe, Coinbase, Snowflake, Affirm, Instacart, and Fondeadora.
