Christopher & Lee Ong Appoints Kevin Wong as Partner in Dispute Resolution Team
The leading Malaysian law firm, Christopher & Lee Ong (CLO), a member firm of Rajah & Tann Asia, has welcomed Kevin Wong as a Partner in its Dispute Resolution and Litigation Practice Group. His appointment further strengthens the firm’s growing disputes practice, particularly in the construction and energy sectors.
Kevin engages in a broad spectrum of work relating to construction and energy projects, advising on both contentious and non-contentious matters. He represents a wide range of clients, including government-linked entities, public and private sector companies, project owners, developers, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, engineers, and suppliers, providing commercially focused and strategic counsel.
He regularly represents clients in high-value domestic and international adjudication, litigation, and arbitration proceedings involving multi-million ringgit disputes. Kevin also advises on and negotiates construction-related contracts, including commonly used international forms such as the SIA Conditions and FIDIC contracts.
In addition, he has been involved in arbitration proceedings under the rules of institutions such as the Asian International Arbitration Centre (AIAC) and the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC), and has appeared before all levels of the Malaysian courts in complex and high-value disputes.
Prior to joining CLO, Kevin served as a Partner at Jason Teoh & Partners since March 2021, following his tenure as Partner at Khong Partnership. Earlier in his career, he worked at Raja, Darryl & Loh as Senior Legal Assistant and Legal Assistant, and held roles at Harold & Lam Partnership and Belden Advocates & Solicitors focusing on construction law, arbitration, and adjudication. He began his legal career with his pupillage at Shearn Delamore & Co in Kuala Lumpur.
Kevin holds a Master of Laws (LLM) from Universiti Malaya (2015–2017), a Certificate in Legal Practice from the Legal Profession Qualifying Board, Malaysia (2012–2013), and a Bachelor’s Degree in Law from the University of Liverpool (2010–2012).
His addition to the firm reflects Christopher & Lee Ong’s continued focus on strengthening its disputes capabilities and delivering comprehensive legal support to clients across complex construction and energy projects.
Christopher & Lee Ong (CLO) is distinguished by its extensive range of legal services and outstanding client representation. Boasting a team of over 120 lawyers, with many recognised as leaders in their respective fields, CLO is unwavering in its commitment to high standards of legal excellence.
