CMS Holborn Asia Expands Financial Services Regulatory Practice With Key Hire
CMS Holborn Asia, the Singapore alliance firm of CMS, has appointed Ying Yi Liew as Director and Head of Financial Services Regulatory Practice. She joins from Baker McKenzie Wong & Leow, where she was a Principal.
Liew specializes in financial services regulation, advising financial institutions, fintech companies, and regulated entities on compliance, licensing requirements, and regulatory matters with the Monetary Authority of Singapore. Her expertise also covers blockchain and cryptocurrency regulations, compliance frameworks, and regulatory investigations.
With more than a decade at Baker McKenzie Wong & Leow, Liew previously worked as an Associate at Rajah & Tann.
Caryn Miller, joint managing director for Asia and the Middle East at CMS, said: "Ying Yi has an excellent market profile, both in Singapore and internationally, and her appointment will further strengthen our market-leading finance offering."
Daniel Tan, head of finance at CMS Holborn Asia, added: "We are delighted to welcome Ying Yi to the banking and finance practice. Our Asia-Pacific practice is experiencing significant growth, and Ying Yi is another fantastic appointment."
