Covington Promotes 14 Lawyers to Partner Across Global Offices
The global law firm, Covington, has promoted 14 lawyers to its partnership across six offices, including Dubai, London, Boston, San Francisco, New York, and Washington. These promotions reflect the firm’s commitment to nurturing talent internally and ensuring robust leadership across practices and regions.
The new partners bring diverse expertise spanning corporate transactions, M&A, private equity, regulatory compliance, litigation, tax, IP, employment, and employee benefits. Notable promotions include Haykel Hajjaji in Dubai, focusing on cross-border corporate and commercial transactions, and Antonio Michaelides in London/Dubai, specializing in HR regulatory and compliance matters.

Ryan Buschell (San Francisco): Ryan represents a wide range of companies in high-stakes insurance coverage litigation and arbitration, exclusively representing policyholders. He has recovered hundreds of millions of dollars from insurers for his clients. Ryan earned his B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley and his J.D. from Harvard Law School.
Haykel Hajjaji (Dubai): Haykel focuses on cross-border corporate and commercial transactions, advising clients in Infrastructure, Technology, Life Sciences, Logistics, and Defense & Aerospace. He has experience in inbound and outbound M&A, joint ventures, market entry, and corporate reorganizations in the MENA region.
Brian Harris (New York): Brian’s practice focuses on transactional tax matters, including advising private equity firms, portfolio companies on mergers and acquisitions, IPOs, debt/equity issuances, and cross-border financings. He earned his B.S. from Rutgers, J.D. and LL.M. from New York University.
Julienne Hearn (Boston): Julienne advises life sciences clients on structuring, negotiating, and documenting collaborations, licenses, co-promotion and co-commercialization agreements, supply and distribution arrangements. She received her B.M. from Eastman School of Music and J.D. from Harvard Law School.
Jessica Hill (Washington): Jessica focuses on Section 337 proceedings before the U.S. International Trade Commission, having litigated over 35 investigations. She is president-elect of the Executive Committee of the ITC Trial Lawyers Association. She earned her B.A. from the University of Virginia and J.D. from the University of Georgia School of Law.
Brent Little (Washington): Brent is a corporate lawyer advising on finance transactions, M&A, and strategic deals. He counsels sports teams, lenders, and corporate borrowers across various industries. Brent earned his B.S. and J.D. from Brigham Young University, J. Reuben Clark Law School.
Antonio Michaelides (London / Dubai): Antonio advises clients in heavily regulated sectors on HR regulatory and compliance issues, including labor laws, international equity compliance, and immigration. He also advises government entities and private companies in the Middle East on regulatory matters.
Andrew Nightingale (New York): Andrew represents sports leagues, teams, and owners on corporate matters, ownership transfers, private equity investments, joint ventures, and league governance. He earned his B.A. from Princeton University and J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law.
Daniel Randolph (Washington): Daniel specializes in appellate and complex regulatory litigation, with expertise in government-facing litigation under the Administrative Procedure Act. He has briefed and argued matters before the U.S. Supreme Court and federal agencies.
Lauren Ross (Washington): Lauren advises multinationals and sports organizations on transfer pricing and tax controversy matters. She has experience with Advance Pricing Agreements, Mutual Agreement Procedures, and administrative controversies. She earned her B.A. from Vanderbilt University and J.D. from Duke University School of Law.

Ashley Winkler (Washington): Ashley is a patent litigator handling all stages of patent cases from inception to trial and appeal. She earned her B.S. in Chemistry and J.D. from the University of Kentucky, J. David Rosenberg College of Law.
Megan Woodford (Washington): Megan advises public and private companies on employee compensation and benefits, including equity incentive plans and executive agreements. She received her B.S. from Duke University and J.D. from Harvard Law School.
Phoebe Yu (Washington): Phoebe focuses on white-collar criminal defense, government enforcement matters, internal investigations, and corporate compliance. She advises multinational companies and boards on fraud, sanctions, corruption, and disclosure matters. She earned her B.S. from Cornell University and J.D. from Harvard Law School.
