David Fournier, Allison Glasunow, And Kourtney Mueller Merrill Join Sheppard Mullin
Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton LLP has announced the addition of David Fournier, Allison Glasunow, and Kourtney Mueller Merrill as partners in its Intellectual Property Practice Group and Life Sciences Industry Team. The powerhouse trio, previously at Perkins Coie LLP, bring a wealth of experience and scientific insight to the firm’s IP and life sciences capabilities.
David Fournier joins as a partner in the Intellectual Property Practice Group in the firm’s Chicago office. He brings both academic training and 25 years of professional experience to his guidance on patent prosecution and portfolio development. David focuses on exclusivity planning, strategic global portfolio development, and regulatory compliance related to pharmaceutical, biologic, medical device, and consumer product patents.
Allison Glasunow, Ph.D., also joins as a partner in the Intellectual Property Practice Group. She builds complex global patent portfolios for breakthrough life sciences companies in highly competitive industries. Her technical expertise spans immunotherapy, gene editing, stem cell and cancer therapies, diagnostics, and genomics.
Kourtney Mueller Merrill joins as a partner in the Intellectual Property Practice Group in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office. She successfully represents leading technology companies in some of their most important and challenging intellectual property matters, including complex patent litigation, inter partes reviews, and IP-related commercial conflicts.
Lorna Tanner, co-leader of the firm’s Life Sciences industry team said,
