Eversheds Sutherland Appoints Albert Yuen to Lead Technology, Data and Cybersecurity Practice in Asia
The major global law firm, Eversheds Sutherland has appointed Albert (Alby) Yuen as partner to lead its Technology, Data and Cybersecurity capability in Asia, reinforcing the firm’s commitment to global growth and investment in top legal talent across key markets.
Alby joins from Linklaters, where he was Head of Technology, Media & Telecommunications (TMT) – Hong Kong, and brings over 25 years of experience across Asia-Pacific and the U.S. West Coast, including senior roles at Osborne Clarke in Hong Kong, Gilbert + Tobin in Australia, and U.S. firms Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher and O’Melveny & Myers in Los Angeles. He also gained in-house experience through secondments with leading telecommunications companies in Asia and Australia.
A senior figure in the region’s TMT legal market, Alby advises on technology and telecom transactions, digital infrastructure projects, fintech, data privacy and cybersecurity, commercial IP, AI, blockchain, and complex commercial deals. He has also led multi-jurisdictional cloud and outsourcing projects, large-scale digital infrastructure developments, and cutting-edge regulatory matters including data governance, AI, and technology risk management.

Earlier this year, the firm also welcomed partners Mike Rainey and Asal Saghari to its corporate finance offering, marking its 27th lateral partner hire in 2025.
