Ex-A&O Shearman Partner Ian Bevan Appointed Partner at White & Case Abu Dhabi
The global law firm White & Case LLP has strengthened its Global Mergers & Acquisitions Practice and Global Real Estate Industry Group with the appointment of Ian Bevan as a partner in its Abu Dhabi office.
Ian Bevan brings nearly 25 years of experience in commercial real estate and hospitality transactions in the Middle East. He joins White & Case from A&O Shearman, where he was partner and head of Middle East real estate and hospitality.
Victoria Landsbert (Partner at White & Case and Co-Head – Global Real Estate Industry Group), said,
"Ian has a strong reputation in the market as one of the pre-eminent real estate lawyers in the Middle East and is viewed as a long-term and trusted legal advisor by his clients. Ian's pragmatic approach, combined with his regional expertise, will support our cross-border work and allow us to continue providing specialist top-tier advice to our clients in the UAE and wider Middle East region."
Ian has extensive experience advising on cross-border real estate funds, property financings, joint ventures, and some of the largest development projects in the Middle East. His practice also includes hotel management and franchise arrangements, sale and leaseback transactions, opco/propco structures, development projects, and mergers and acquisitions within the real estate and hospitality sectors.
Oliver Brettle (Partner and Vice Chair at White & Case) said,
"Our Global Real Estate Industry Group advises leading clients across the globe, clearly demonstrated by significant recent deals such as guiding Cathexis Holdings on its sale of Yondr Group and Netrality Data Centres on its US$600 million financing. Ian's addition to White & Case adds further bench strength to our practice."
Bevan’s appointment reinforces White & Case’s commitment to providing comprehensive, cross-border real estate and M&A advice in the Middle East, supporting clients across complex regional transactions and strategic developments.
