Forsters LLP Establishes Abu Dhabi Global Market Office To Enhance Middle East Offering
Forsters LLP Establishes Abu Dhabi Global Market Office to Enhance Middle East Offering
The prominent, top-tier London-based law firm, Forsters LLP has expanded its international footprint with the launch of a new base in the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM), marking the firm’s formal entry into the Middle East. This strategic move underscores Forsters’ commitment to supporting the evolving needs of global private wealth clients and strengthening its cross-border advisory capabilities.
The expansion will be led by James Brockhurst (Partner, Private Wealth), a recognised expert in succession planning, tax, family governance, and cryptoassets. Brockhurst has long advised high-net-worth individuals, family offices, entrepreneurs, and trustees across the Middle East. His deep experience in international private wealth matters, understanding of regional cultural and legal dynamics — including Sharia principles — and longstanding engagement in the region position him strongly to lead the firm’s on-ground offering.
Brockhurst will be supported by a multidisciplinary Middle East team comprising specialists in private wealth, corporate, dispute resolution, and real estate, ensuring a comprehensive service offering for clients with interests in the region.
Commenting on the expansion, James Brockhurst said,
“Establishing a presence in ADGM allows us to be even closer to our Middle Eastern clients as well as those with interests in the Middle East. Our presence in Abu Dhabi will strengthen our ability to provide the full breadth of our private wealth expertise, including cross-border planning, family governance, and cryptoasset advisory. Our longstanding commitment to the region has given us a deep understanding of the cultural and local dynamics at play, which informs our advice.”
Emily Exton, Managing Partner at Forsters, added,
“Our move into ADGM is about more than geography – it’s about anticipating the future of private wealth. As families and businesses become increasingly global, we are committed to being where our clients need us most. This expansion positions Forsters at the heart of a thriving international financial centre and reinforces our ambition to deliver world-class advice across borders.”
The new ADGM office will offer bespoke advisory services with a focus on succession planning, family governance, cross-border structuring, and private wealth solutions for individuals, families, and businesses across the Middle East.
This development further strengthens Forsters’ reputation as a leading advisor in the private wealth space and reflects the firm’s long-term investment in global client service excellence.
ADGM has rapidly developed into a leading international financial centre, recognised for its English common law framework, favourable regulatory environment, and strategic location, attracting top-tier legal and financial institutions from across the world.
Forsters is a leading law firm renowned for its private client and real estate focus. Together with strong corporate and dispute resolution teams, the firm works alongside individuals, families, and businesses across a wide range of complex matters and situations – both in the UK and internationally. Whether it’s managing wealth, protecting assets, building a business, or resolving issues, what sets Forsters apart is the closer connections it builds with its clients.
