Galadari Adds Partner Paul Suckling To Lead Construction Practice In Dubai

Galadari Adds Partner Paul Suckling To Lead Construction Practice In Dubai
Galadari Advocates & Legal Consultants has announced the appointment of Paul Suckling as Partner, Head of Construction, Infrastructure, and Engineering. With over 20 years of experience in the Middle East, Paul specializes in both contentious and non-contentious construction disputes and will play a key role in expanding the firm’s Construction Practice across the region.
Paul is a dual-qualified professional, initially working as a quantity surveyor on major UK projects before retraining as a solicitor. He has developed a strong reputation for his expertise with the FIDIC suite of contracts and has been involved in high-profile arbitration cases. His recent work includes disputes related to a AED 3 billion hotel and residential development in Dubai and a AED 300 million arbitration concerning a major infrastructure project in Abu Dhabi.
Paul’s background enables him to offer pragmatic and commercially focused advice, particularly in a Project Counsel role, where his combined technical and legal expertise provides unique insights. His practice covers both front-end contract drafting and back-end construction disputes, making him a trusted advisor in complex construction matters.
Speaking about his new role, Paul stated:
"I look forward to working at Galadari and expanding the firm’s Construction Practice throughout the Gulf Region during this exciting period of growth, both within the firm and internationally. Galadari’s outstanding reputation and its strategic approach make it an ideal platform to continue delivering high-quality legal services to clients in the construction and infrastructure sectors."
Managing Partner Ahmed Galadari welcomed Paul’s appointment, saying:
"Paul’s wealth of experience in construction law and his unique dual qualifications make him a valuable addition to our team. His expertise in handling large-scale and complex construction disputes will be a significant asset as we continue to expand our practice and service our clients’ needs across the region."
