Gaurav Ajmani Moves from Amazon to Snap Inc. as Assistant General Counsel & Chief Compliance Officer
Snap Inc. strengthens its legal and compliance leadership with the appointment of Gaurav Ajmani as Assistant General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) for the APAC and MEA regions, effective February 2026. Ajmani joins Snap after a distinguished 12.5-year tenure at Amazon, where he led senior legal and compliance functions across multiple geographies. In his new role, he will oversee regional legal affairs, compliance initiatives, and risk management to support Snap’s continued expansion.
Ajmani said,
“I’m excited to share that I’m starting a new chapter and joining Snap Inc. as AGC and Chief Compliance Officer for APAC and MEA. As I turn the page, I do so with deep gratitude for an incredibly memorable 12.5-year journey at Amazon. I’ve been fortunate to work with exceptional leadership, inspiring managers, generous mentors, and amazing colleagues who have shaped my professional and personal growth in ways I’ll always value. Amazon will always have a special place in my heart. I’m truly excited about this new opportunity at Snap and looking forward to learning, building, and contributing in this next phase of my career. Professional Background and Education
Ajmani brings over two decades of experience across legal, compliance, and risk management functions. He served as Associate General Counsel at Amazon, leading legal and compliance teams across multiple geographies; Investigations Senior Manager at Microsoft, focusing on fraud prevention and anti-corruption in the Asia-Pacific region; Head of Fraud Intelligence & Compliance at Bharti Airtel; Senior Executive at GE, managing risk and fraud prevention; and Executive for Business Development at Compare Infobase Limited .
He holds an MBA in International Business from AIMA, an LL.B from Chaudhary Charan Singh University, and a B.Com (Hons.) from University of Delhi.
Ajmani’s appointment reflects Snap Inc.’s focus on strengthening its compliance framework and legal operations across the APAC and MEA regions, supporting its strategic growth initiatives.
