Gibson Dunn Promotes 42 Lawyers to Partnership Amid Continued Global Growth
The global law firm, Gibson Dunn, has elected 42 lawyers to its partnership, effective January 1, 2026, marking the largest partner class in the firm’s history. The promotions underscore Gibson Dunn’s sustained global expansion, driven by increasing client demand across key markets and high-growth practice areas. This milestone reflects the firm’s long-term investment in talent development and its strategic focus on strengthening leadership across jurisdictions.
Commenting on the milestone, Barbara Becker, Chair and Managing Partner of Gibson Dunn, said,

The newly promoted partners span 17 offices across Gibson Dunn’s integrated global platform. Notably, 26% of the partner class is based in London, representing the largest-ever promotion group in that office. Additionally, 40% of the new partners are located outside the United States, significantly exceeding prior years and underscoring the firm’s continued investment in international markets and cross-border capabilities.
