Gitta Satryani Appointed Managing Partner of Herbert Smith Freehills’ Singapore Office
Herbert Smith Freehills has announced the appointment of Gitta Satryani, International Arbitration Partner and Head of the firm's Southeast Asia disputes practice, as the new Managing Partner of its Singapore office, effective 1 May 2025. Gitta will serve a three-year term, succeeding Fatim Jumabhoy, Asia Head of Employment Law, who will continue her full-time practice with the firm in Singapore.
Singapore is the hub of Herbert Smith Freehills' longstanding Southeast Asia practice, alongside offices in Bangkok and Jakarta and client work spanning multiple countries across the region.

About Gitta Satryani, Gitta leads Herbert Smith Freehills' Southeast Asia disputes practice, specialising in complex cross-border disputes, including international commercial arbitration, investment treaty arbitration, and public international law. She has a particular focus on disputes involving Indonesia and works closely with Herbert Smith Freehills' associate firm Hiswara Bunjamin & Tandjung in Jakarta.
Fluent in English, Bahasa Indonesia (native), and Bahasa Melayu, Gitta graduated from the National University of Singapore and is qualified as an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore.
