Goodwin Welcomes Insurance Expert Christopher Pizzo To Financial Services Practice
Goodwin Welcomes Insurance Expert Christopher Pizzo to Financial Services Practice
Global law firm Goodwin has announced that Christopher (“Chris”) Pizzo has joined the firm as a partner in its Financial Services practice.
Pizzo brings extensive experience advising clients across the insurance industry and beyond on corporate and transactional matters. His practice includes representing leading insurers, brokers, InsurTech developers, captives, and their ownership in M&A, corporate finance, governance, reinsurance, and regulatory compliance. He also counsels major organizations — including professional sports leagues, Fortune 100 manufacturers, and hospital systems — on critical risk management matters.
Samantha Kirby, Chair of Goodwin’s Financial Services practice, said,
“Chris brings invaluable insurance industry expertise and a track record of successfully navigating complex regulatory and transactional engagements across domestic and international jurisdictions. His broad experience in carrier and agency operations, reinsurance, captives, and related regulation will further strengthen our team’s ability to deliver strategic counsel and results for our clients.”
Goodwin’s Financial Services group is a one-stop shop for financial institutions, financial services companies, and adjacent industries. Its expertise spans bank lifecycle and regulatory matters, consumer financial services (including fintech, blockchain, and digital currency), insurance M&A and regulatory work, InsurTech, brokers and exchanges, asset management transactions, and investment management. The practice also partners closely with colleagues across the firm to support clients in transactions, litigation, and enforcement matters.
