Habib Al Mulla And Partners Appoints Areen Jayousi As Senior Partner
The UAE-based law firm Habib Al Mulla and Partners has announced the appointment of Areen Jayousi as Senior Partner in its Dispute Resolution practice, reinforcing the firm’s capabilities in high-stakes litigation, arbitration, insolvency, and financial crime matters.
The strategic hire underscores the firm’s continued commitment to strengthening its leadership position in complex, multi-jurisdictional disputes, particularly across the real estate, construction, and financial services sectors. The addition of Jayousi is expected to further enhance the firm’s ability to advise clients on matters involving significant financial, regulatory, and reputational exposure.
Areen Jayousi brings over 18 years of experience advising on sophisticated commercial disputes across the UAE and the wider region. He possesses extensive expertise in UAE onshore litigation and has substantial experience handling matters in offshore jurisdictions, including the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) and Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM).
A qualified Solicitor of England and Wales, Jayousi is widely recognised for his ability to navigate both civil law and common law systems, particularly in cross-border disputes. He regularly represents clients in major international arbitrations conducted under DIAC, ICC, SCCA, IICRA, and ArbitrateAD rules, acting both as counsel and arbitrator.
His practice spans real estate and construction disputes, banking and insolvency litigation, and financial crime matters. He has been consistently ranked as Band 1 by Chambers and Partners and is recognised as a Recommended Lawyer by The Legal 500, reflecting his strong market reputation.
Commenting on the appointment, Amir Alkhaja, Managing Partner of Habib Al Mulla and Partners, said,
“Areen’s appointment represents a strategic addition to our disputes capability at a time when clients are facing increasingly complex, cross-border challenges. His dual perspective, combining extensive courtroom experience with senior in-house judgment, aligns seamlessly with our focus on delivering commercially meaningful outcomes.”
Speaking on his new role, Areen Jayousi expressed that,
“Habib Al Mulla and Partners has built an exceptional reputation for shaping legal precedent and achieving landmark outcomes in the UAE. I am excited to contribute to the firm’s continued growth and to work alongside a team that shares my commitment to strategic, results-driven advocacy.”
The appointment marks another significant step in Habib Al Mulla and Partners’ ongoing expansion strategy as it continues to strengthen its offering to domestic and international clients across the Middle East.
