Haiwen & Partners Hires Zheng Jianhao As Partner In Hong Kong
Haiwen & Partners Hires Zheng Jianhao as Partner in Hong Kong
The leading Chinese law firm with significant international involvement, Haiwen & Partners has appointed Zheng Jianhao as a Partner at its Hong Kong office, strengthening the firm’s capabilities in offshore capital markets and financing transactions.
Zheng brings 16 years of experience in Hong Kong listings and capital markets, having acted for clients across sectors including life sciences, technology, media and telecommunications, and financial services. He has advised on several landmark Hong Kong IPOs, notably SenseTime Group’s 2021 debut, the first AI company listed in Asia, and Zijin Gold International’s 2025 listing, one of the city’s largest IPOs.
Prior to joining Haiwen, Zheng served as Counsel at Slaughter and May for seven years, and previously practised at Loeb & Loeb, Shearman & Sterling, and Hogan Lovells.
"Zheng’s extensive experience in Hong Kong listings and equity capital markets closely aligns with Haiwen’s strategic commitment to expanding our Hong Kong platform and enhancing our international capital markets capabilities."
said Zhang Jiping (Managing Partner of Haiwen).
Zheng holds a JD from Fordham University School of Law and a BS in Biology from Peking University.
The firm welcomes Zheng to its partnership and looks forward to leveraging his expertise in furthering Haiwen’s growth in Hong Kong and the broader Asia-Pacific region.
Haiwen & Partners is a leading Chinese law firm with significant international involvement, known for handling complex cross-border transactions, making it functionally global, with strong presences in Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, and international recognition in legal rankings. While rooted in China, its extensive work on international deals and presence in key hubs like Hong Kong positions it as a major player in global legal markets, particularly for Chinese outbound and inbound work.
