Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer Welcomes Tebogo Moloko as Director in Johannesburg Corporate Practice
The leading global law firm, Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer, has appointed Tebogo Moloko as Director in its Corporate practice, based in Johannesburg.
Tebogo brings extensive experience in private equity and M&A, including corporate reorganisations, managed disposals, complex black economic empowerment (BEE) transactions, and cross-border M&A. He also advises on the establishment of employee share ownership schemes and corporate governance matters, having worked with clients across sectors such as private equity, mining, automotive, water, and telecommunications.
He joins the firm from Bowmans, where he was most recently on secondment at a financial institution assisting with equity investment and equity finance matters.
“We are delighted to welcome Tebogo to the firm. His appointment demonstrates our commitment to the African market and our ongoing investment in the Johannesburg team.”
said, Jean Meijer (Johannesburg Managing Partner, Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer)
“Tebogo’s transactional experience, particularly on complex private equity matters, provides further depth to the Johannesburg Corporate practice and aligns closely with the firm’s strategic priorities. I look forward to the fresh perspectives his contributions will bring in delivering for our clients.”
said, Ziyanda Ntshona (Head of South African Corporate Practice, Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer)
“I am looking forward to joining Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer. The firm has a leading reputation in the African market and beyond, and I am excited to work with my new colleagues across the global network to deepen and develop the firm’s client relationships.”
said, Tebogo Moloko (Director, Corporate, Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer)
Tebogo’s appointment follows a series of senior additions to the firm’s Johannesburg practice this year, including Spencer Naicker and Ziyanda Ntshona, along with the promotion of Stewart Payne.
The Johannesburg office marks its 10th anniversary this November, celebrating a decade of exponential growth with a team of 125 professionals.
